030 - It is Thanksgiving night. My wife is driving us home to Massachusetts because she is great and I likes my cranberry daiquiris. We had a wonderful meal and the family, both immediate and extended, are all great.
I wonder if family gatherings are like poker games. If you do not know who the sucker is at the poker table, it is probably you. If you do not know who the crazy uncle is at the dinner table…
So I have much to be thankful for. I have been extremely fortunate in life and this holiday is my absolute favorite. I get to take time to reflect on all I have been given and express my thanks and love to all of those who have provided so much ... including the food they brought.
Now that the day is winding down, I have opportunity, while riding in the passenger seat of this car, to express my gratitude to a new group of people. Thank you for following along as I have gone on this crazy ride. Despite all of the hiccups I have griped about, I have really enjoyed my experiences these past few months. I have found some wonderfully fun and supportive people I would never have met otherwise. So again, thank you.
In what may be a Thanksgiving miracle, the fantasy curling scores on CurlingZone seem to be tabulating correctly this week.
After having about 300 matches disappear into the ether last week, I was set for a fit. Scores were wonky again at the beginning of this week but seemed to have recently corrected themselves. If that was you correcting some code, Gerry, thank you. If it just turns out to be dumb luck and nothing has really changed, thank you anyway, Gerry. Sorry, I am such a whiner about a free service you offer.
Finally, l am blown away by the fact that I can post to this blog while sitting in a moving car. Of course, that feeling could also be coming from the daiquiris.
